Autoresponders
At one time or another, the subject of autoresponders will come up. Under the email topic, you can find topics for free and pay type autoresponders. The difference between the two is the so called free versions are free until the number of subscribers get to a certain level and then become paid. The paid versions offer all types of features and the prices are low at the start and then become more expensive as time goes on. It's like pay now or pay later. If you have tons of subscribers, pay now is the better option, since subscribers can turn into buyers and help pay for the costs. But for people who are just starting out, this can be a problem.
The is another option that is possible and that is owning your own autoresponder. Now this as it turns out takes more research into what is available. Thanks to my research, I found two possibilities. One is pay once and own it, and the other is free. Now in both cases it requires a knowledge of cpanel, owning your own website, and asking for help when needed. So yes you end up paying for a website monthly or yearly, and you need to buy software. But the yearly costs of running the autoresponder is one time only, and a lifetime of savings.
Now the two options I discuss is dependent of owning a website using Wordpress. If you have Wordpress, which is what the majority of websites are on, then you can have an autoresponder by using a simple plugin. The other option which is free, calls for downloading a zip file, editing a config file, installing a database for the software, and asking for help from the hosting company, and uploading the software. The second option takes longer but the results are very good. Here are the two options I'm using below.
